Giveaways Pro

Each event can have one giveaway. Guests enter with a separate QR code, you draw winners live, and winners confirm on their phone that they're still at the venue.

Set it up

In the event manager, open the Giveaway Draw card and press Open Giveaway Manager. Then, in Giveaway Settings:

• Title, Description and Default prize, which guests see on their phones and the screen.
• Prize pickup spot, shown to winners as "Collect your prize from ___".
• Claim window, how many minutes a winner has to claim before the prize can be drawn again.
• Allow the same person to win twice, off by default.

Under Official Rules, add who's running the draw, a contact and the minimum age (18, 19 or 21). Skiiip builds a rules page from these. Guests must agree to the rules to enter.

The entry QR code

The Entry QR Code card has a QR code that's separate from your song request code. Put it at the door or show it with Show screen, a TV view of the giveaway. Download poster makes a printable version.

Guests enter with their name and mobile number. Each phone number and each phone can enter once.

Location check

Under Venue Location, turn on Require guests to be at the venue and set the location while standing inside. A radius of 150 metres suits most bars, because indoor GPS can drift. If guests are being blocked, raise the radius.

Drawing winners

• Press Draw winner to pick a random entry, or start a Next draw countdown (with Restart automatically after each draw for draws through the night).
• The winner's phone lights up. They answer a short skill-testing question, Skiiip re-checks that they're at the venue, and they get a claim code to show at the pickup spot.
• If the claim window runs out, draw again.

Privacy

The host sees entrants' names and the last four digits of their numbers. Full numbers are shown only for winners. Entries and phone numbers are deleted automatically 48 hours after the giveaway's last entry or draw, or straight away with Clear all entries and winners.
